I found a dung beetle crawling its way through the crevices of my dogs dung. At least I think it was a dung beetle. It was definitely beetle-ish and where else would you expect to find a "dung" beetle so I am going to go with it. I felt like Jeff Corwin making a discovery of some rare insect that only lives in the remote region of Madagascar not seen by human eyes for centuries and there ..right in his path, camera on and actually focused on it when Jeff makes his magnificent "discovery". The unfortunate circumstance of the event is that the UPS driver pulled up to the front of the house to make a delivery right at the moment that my face was inches from a pile of dog poop, I am sure with a goofy smirk on my face. At that very moment I was in imagination mode, The Lori Zimbardi Experience is what they called it.. .on expedition in that same remote area of Madagascar but I was the one to make the big discovery. The background music gets louder and the anticipation of my shining moment as a ...whatever kind of biologist or scientist I am, making my big discovery...tympani drums and the orchestra reaches it's peak...then cut to the UPS guy...and scene.
C'mon, wheres the picture?

Hi Lori,
Thanks for taking the time to write such a great comment on my blog, I really appreciate it. I loved the D.P. story, I can so picture this, although in my case, it would be Deer Poop...
